The anchorage off the main village of Angaha is not good. A better one is to be found on the northwestern side of the island.
The only good landing place is on the western side of the island, at Futu. The villages are all on the northern and eastern sides.
The post office, telecommunications station, and grass airstrip are in Angahā.
There is limited domestic air service to Vava’u and Tongatapu.
