YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.

Minor repairs possible in Domburg, however in general there are no proper repair facilities here for yachts.

Suriname does not have the yachting infrastructure like Trinidad or Grenada (where there is easy access to spares and expert repair facilities).
Provisions:
Waterland resort is remote, with just a small store 20 minutes walk from the marina.
There are many small markets and fruit and vegetable stands to stop at, between the marina and downtown Paramaribo, with good quality produce at good prices.
In Domburg and Paramaribo there are markets and grocery stores.
Navigation Hazards:
Fishing nets are everywhere on the river and its approaches. Some are held in place with water bottles as floats making them difficult to spot. It is not recommended to approach the entrance or navigate the rivers in hours of darkness.
When going up or down the river, be careful to time the current as it runs at over three knots. Ask Waterland resort (if heading up there) for current direction information and slack tide so as not to fight a big current up or down river. The current can make tying to the dock at Waterland a challenge on arrival.
