There is not a very big selection.
Nusa Island Retreat does a buffet dinner every night which is very good with lots of fresh seafood, salads and vegetables, as well as beef, chicken and pork dishes. They also cater easily to vegetarians and special diets provided you let them know when you make your booking. You need to book in with them before 2 pm on the day you wish to eat there. Contact them on VHF69. They also do a la carte breakfast and lunch. Nusa has the best bar selection in town. Beers are cold, plenty of spirits and wines to choose from, and an excellent spot to hang out.
Malagan Beach Resort on the waterfront at the northern end of town offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. BBQ Thursday night. Menu limited.
The Kavieng Hotel (on Coronation Street) does a Seafood Buffet on Friday nights. Good value and loads of fresh local seafood to choose from. Best to book, as they are often booked out. Call 984 2199.
