Grand Baie (Grand Bay) is located approx. 10 miles north of Port Louis close to the northern tip of Mauritius.
The bay offers a large protected anchorage and is a favourite place for cruising sailors. Its white sand beaches, ever-expanding resorts and lively bar/cafe/restaurant scene also make it popular with tourists.
The channel leading into the bay is at least 3m at high tide.
Good anchorage, many attractions ashore, repair facilities, boatyard and easy provisioning. Grand Baie Yacht Club welcomes visiting yachts and offers free facilities including water, fuel and Wifi.
