There are good grocery stores and supermarkets throughout the city with a wide range of fresh meat (pork and beef are particularly good), plus a good supermarket (Carulla) just outside the Club Nautico (2-minute walk). Often packers will bring your shopping cart to the Club Nautico. There is a Carulla Express a short distance from Club de Pesca y Vela.
The Caribe Plaza is a modern mall just a 15-minute walk from Club Nautico with a taxi rank for getting back with the shopping.
The Mercardo Bazurto is the local market and definitely worth a visit. Has good value fresh produce.
The best value alcohol in Cartagena can be bought from one of the import stores located in “Contraband Alley” or “Centro Comercial Turistico”, that runs between Calle Larga and Av. Arsenal in Getsemani near the Convention Center.
