There is good day hiking in the area as well as extended trekking in the Dientes range. Local guide services are available.

The Museum Martin Gusinde features rotating exhibits as well as a permanent collection of Yagan artifacts and history as well as some Natural History items.

A tourist office can be found in the Centro Comercial. There is an international library with book exchange donated by visiting yachts at Micalvi.

There are several hardware, clothing, houseware and gift shops in town with limited but varied offerings. Local maps and books, including the Patagonia & Tierra del Fuego Nautical Guide, are available from Jardin Fuegia. Charts may be available at the Capitania, but they will most often have to be ordered.
