Where is Puerto Escondido Baja?

This spectacular natural harbor is a useful stop on the eastern shore of the Baja Californian Sur. The surrounding islands provide excellent diving and snorkeling.

Cruiser Highlights for Puerto Escondido Baja:

Several landforms surround the harbour and provide a powerful natural shield against tropical storms and strong winds.  In 1987 Jacques Cousteau explored the Sea of Cortez, which he then coined "The Aquarium of the World." His tireless efforts fighting to protect the Sea of Cortez led to one of the islands at the southern end of the gulf being named Isla Jacques Cousteau in his honor.
