Whilst there has been a steady increase in the number of boats visiting Tonga, repair services in Nuku'alofa tend to come and go. Several workshops are concentrated in the Small Industries Centre, about a half mile from Faua Harbor.
Whilst still not a place for considerable repairs, local people will try to help.
There are two slipways in the harbour (100 tonnes and 15 tonnes capacity). There is also a boat lift for up to 10 tonnes.
