The climate is temperate due to the Gulf Stream and the summers are pleasant. Winters are cold, the temperatures around freezing. Summer arrives only in June and the sailing season rarely lasts beyond the end of September but has the advantage of long summer nights. The winds in summer are variable and mostly light.

We have just arrived in Gothenborg (25/05/23) from UK and cannot find anyone remotely interested in registering our boats arrival, because it is a leisure craft, and not commercial or carrying paid passengers. We have been round the hoses with Border Police, Customes, Marine Clearance, to no avail. Struggling to see how we are going to declare our arrival date as a means of validating for Returned Goods Relief on our return.
Go to the airport, police there will stamp your passport.
