The International Dialing Code for Sweden is +46.

The main Swedish service providers are 3, Tele2, Telenor and Telia. Getting a local SIM card is easy and there are always a number of deals to choose from, or get a pay-as-you-go.

Mobile phones cannot necessarily be used for emergencies – in the mountains, for example, there might be no coverage!

Internet is fast in Sweden and there are free Wifi hot spots everwhere (museums, malls, parks etc.).
