Puerto Real - Docking

Sep 05, 2020

Anchorages:

The anchorage here is sheltered and secure with a bottom of thick mud. Depths are shallow. Anchor SW of the marina in about three meters. Not ideal for swimming, however, there are good beaches a short distance away by dinghy.

Marina:

The marina here is well maintained and the owner Jose Mendez is very helpful and a knowledgeable sailor himself. Call on VHF channel 68 if help is required.

Security:

In July 2019 a boat was burgled in the marina while the owners were away. Unfortunately, at the time the marina security cameras were not operational.

Ashore:

There are several local bars and restaurants and a convenience store in the marina.
