YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.

Cascais Marina is beautiful but extremely expensive. The anchorage outside the marina was not too crowded while we were there in Aug 2025 and well sheltered from waves but winds were commonly 20 -25 knots from the north. There are two places you can tie up a dinghy ashore – the marina is not one of them – and they are both littered with small moorings for the local fishing boat tenders with lines to the dock, very dangerous for a prop, but we were able to negotiate it with difficulty. Prices are generally very cheap ashore. The town was very crowded with tourists when we were there. People are extremely friendly but not outgoing. There are good yacht services at the marina. Our anchor chain got tangled in two ancient admiralty anchors on the bottom in the anchorage and required a hand from a local fishing boat and the city pier crane to sort out. We enjoyed our month long stay but it is not a boater friendly anchorage.
Nice and big marina. Still you need to make sure you contact them well in advance for a place.
Friendly and professional staff
WIFI very bad for the price we paid.
You can catch up the train to Lisboa for few euros and the ride is about 45min. The train station is about 20 min walking distance from the marina crossing Cascais city.
We were told by the maritime police that there is no need to clear in with them. They will come to the boat if they want to talk to you. We have a US flagged vessel with a US captain.
The Capitania and Policia Maritima are in the old town in the government building just back from the fishermen’s dock. We have yet to locate an office of the GNR.
The Fuel dock at the marina does not take credit cards.
The anchorage outside the marina has great holding, even in the down gusts in the evenings, and you can leave your dinghy tied to either end of the fuel/reception dock of the marina or the steps of the fishermen’s dock.
