Gdynia - Activities, Attractions & Shopping

Sep 01, 2016

Just north of the marina, is the Maritime Museum housed on the destroyer "Blyskawica" which in May 1942 helped defend Cowes on the Isle of Wight (where she was built) from German bombers.

The square-rigger "Dar Pomorza", 1972 Cutty Sark Tall Ship's Champion, is further along the pier and has guided tours on offer most days.

The hilltop of Kammienna Gora provides an excellent view over the entire harbor.

Gdynia town is a celebration of Bauhaus architecture with its characteristic rounded corners, reminiscent of the superstructures of the great liners.
