This is the best port of entry for the Philippines if coming from the south as fees are sensible (and for departure). Subic Bay has high fees and Batangas (both on Luzon) is reported to be corrupt (May 2023).
Location of Offices:
Quarantine: PQQ3+RRX, Rizal Avenue, Puerto Princesa, 5300 Palawan (next to the airport). Quarantine are housed in a tiny building. No charge - 10 to 15 minutes in total.
Immigration: Located on the second floor of the Robinsons Mall. Only skipper need go to Immigration, with all passports.
Customs: Contact in advance to organise boat inspection [+63 (48) 433 2118]. Located opposite the Pilot Elementary school just off Manola Street, in another anonymous house. The tricycle cabbies mostly know where it is.
Outward clearance cost here - reported October 2024 - 2,500 pesos, plus transport back for Customs officer.
The officials are reported to all be very helpful and polite.
