Tauranga (Bay of Plenty) - Clearance
Tauranga is a Place of First Arrival (PoFA) for yachts visiting New Zealand. See Noonsite/New Zealand/Formalities page for full details of clearance and PoFAs.
The Arrival Process Steps as outlined on the Biosecurity New Zealand website must be followed. Clearance is carried out at the Vessel Works premises at Sulphur Point, Tauranga.
Note: Vessel Works PoFA services/customs clearance will only be available when pre-booked at least 48 hours in advance
Vessel Works provide the berth facility for vessels to clear into New Zealand waters only and does not provide the Customs or MPI Clearance, these are provided by each government entity at their wharf.
Skippers are responsible for liaising with Customs and MPI regarding their vessels arrival into Tauranga.
