Explore: Polace (Mljet)
General Info
Mljet is a very attractive wooded island and the main harbor of Polace is at its northern end. Note that this is a national park and you will be charged to anchor here (44ft boat – 600 kuna – reported 2021).
Position 42° 47.40’N, 17° 22.80’E.
Docking
This is a very sheltered and attractive harbor, with a restaurant and a small shop. There is no fuel available in Polace.
Moor to the quay near the castle but beware of the shallow patches. The quay east of the ferry berth is free to patrons of the restaurants which front it.
It is also possible to anchor in the bay. The northern part offers the best shelter and the holding is good in the mud there.
There are several smaller harbors along the NE coast of the island and plenty of anchorages.
