Air:
See http://www.cookislandsairports.com for information on Rarotonga International and Aitutaki Airports, along with all other domestic airports in the Cook Islands.
The main international airline is Air New Zealand, which flies to Auckland and Christchurch.
Outer Islands are connected regularly by Air Rarotonga.
Bus:
It is very easy to get around the island using public transport. There are two buses that circle the island of Rarotonga; clockwise and anti-clockwise. The buses will stop anywhere along the main road. All you have to do is smile and wave them down.

Hire cars:
All visitors over the age of 16 are able to drive in the Cook Islands. Only driver's licenses from Australia, Canada, EU Members, Japan, New Zealand, Norway and United States of America are acceptable.
If you currently hold a driver’s license from a country that is not listed, you will need to obtain a Cook Islands visitors license (valid for up to 30 days) from the Cook Islands Police station.
