Peter Island - Docking

Peter Island Resort & Spa at Sprat Bay, on the north of the island, has a deep-water marina and a few mooring buoys. Following extensive hurricane damage in September 2018, the Resort (and marina) are still not open.   Mooring buoys cannot be reserved in advance and are reported to be expensive. There is a dinghy dock at the marina.

As of July 2019 the Resort’s website states:

“We do not have a reopen date yet as this will depend on the progress of the BVI government to restore normal operations, the return of staff, and our rebuild. The combination of these factors will be the basis of our eventual reopen date. Until we are confident we can provide you, our valued Peter Island guests, the experience you deserve, we will not be taking reservations for future bookings.”

Yachts can also anchor at Sprat Bay.

There are a few moorings and an anchorage in Great Harbour and an anchorage at Little Harbour.

The anchorages at Deadman’s Bay, White Bay, and Key Bay are best for day stops only.
