Moorings:

The only possible mooring on the mainland is in the small basin behind the ferry terminal. Here you can berth among the fishing boats. There are no anchorages this side of the channel.

On the island of Sao Sebastiao there are several options for swing moorings on the west coast around the villages of Barreiro and Saco da Capela. Anchoring is restricted but you can find space off the Santos Yacht club or in various anchorages around the north and east coasts.

There are several yacht clubs here. Yacht Club Ilhabela and Iate Clube de Santos both offer a few days free mooring to visitors.

Groceries, banking, and medical care are available in Ilhabela, but for chandlery needs, or repairs, it is better to moor on the island and take the ferry to the mainland.

    Data Entry says:

The delegation of the federal police of San Sebastian downtown does not receive boats anymore, it is necessary to go to the Nucleo Especial da Policia Maritima (NEPON) inside the commercial port to about 200 meters of the ferry station of the side of SS.

Only the captain can enter with all the papers and documents, in case of problems with the language they allow to enter a second crewmember. Within the port you have to walk about 400 meters, so you have to take precautions on rainy days or intense sun. From there to the Captaincy (Prefecture) which has a large building overlooking the Ferry station

    Data Entry says:

September 2018: We found three yacht clubs on Ilha de Sao Sebastiao (Ilhabela), from North to South: Santos Yacht Club, Ilhabela Yacht Club and Pinda Yacht Club.

Santos was closed for the winter, Ilhabela offered 4 days of free mooring (incl. use of their excellent facilities and water taxi), and Pinda offered 7. The VHF Channel for Ilhabela Yacht Club is 68 and all moorings were yellow (west of the breakwater).

Anchoring is restricted – the most southern place seems to be off the Santos Yacht Club. Good supplies at reasonable prices can be found in the Baepi supermarket in Vila town.
