Mata Utu - Activities, Attractions & Shopping

Nov 21, 2025

A birds’ eye view of the Island is provided via ULM (ultralight aircraft); hence you can fly over Wallis and get a completely different perspective of it all.

Fenurama is a small shopping centre with a hardware store, bank, supermarket, clothes store, eyewear shop, and cafe.

Samurai is a large shop with lots of homewares (all imported from China) and various other things.

Lac Lalolalo is a volcanic crater lake which is worth seeing if you can hire a car or ask a local to take you.

The Tongan fort is another place to visit.

There are many amazing churches, particularly one in Malaetoli (in the south, next to the sea).
