Provisions

Produce is expensive in St. Martin. If it doesn't have a price on it, it is probably extremely expensive so best avoided. Mini-markets (family stores) tend to be cheaper than the big supermarkets, especially on the French side. For a big provision, access to a car is helpful.

The large market on the waterfront in Marigot, open Wednesday to Saturday, has the best selection of local fresh produce. The Match supermarket in Marigot is reported to have the best selection of French foods and wines.

Super U just past the bus turnaround is probably the least expensive supermarket or Cost U Less on the Dutch side.

The boulangerie next to Super U in the Howell Centre is mentioned often by cruisers.
