Noro (New Georgia Island) - Docking
This port has several safe anchorages and is a very useful port for both clearing in and out.
There is an overnight anchorage 300 meters away from the main wharf, but ask the port to show you the entrance as it’s quite narrow and only marked with a stick. There is just over 2.2m over the reef. Inside it’s quite sheltered in an otherwise windy bay.
Both water and fuel are available at the wharf.
The nearest repair facilities are at Liapari on the island of Vella Lavela.
New facilities are planned including a new marina starting with a number of safe moorings and support services, such as a restaurant, ship chandlery, port of entry office, laundry, showers, live web cam, security, travel lift and other services.
