Kaliningrad - Docking

The city is connected to the coast via a 22NM long sea canal from Baltiysk. A one-way system is in operation with eastbound vessels leaving 03:00-04:00 and 15:00-16:00LT and westbound at 08:00-11:00 and 20:00-23:00LT.

You should allow approx. four hours to get to an overnight docking facility from Border Conrol in Baltiysk. Parts of the approach are very shallow, although the bottom is very soft mud.

Marinas in the Kaliningrad region:

  • Marina Haydekrug in Vzmorje: approx. 3 hours from Baltiysk, max. Draft 2 - 2.3 m, depending on the water level.
  • Marina Kaliningrad "Fish Boat": approx 4 hours from Baltiysk. Suitable for all yachts. Reservation is essential.
  • Marina at the Museum of the World Ocean in Kaliningrad (motor boats only due to bridge height restrictions - 3.5m): approx 4 hours from Baltiysk.
