Kolobrzeg - Activities, Attractions & Shopping
Two centuries of Slavic settlement preceded the establishment of the city of Kolobrzeg in the 9th century. The salt works, historically a major industry, have been mined since the 7th century. Though badly damaged in World War II, Kolobrzeg has been extensively rebuilt and is now a very popular spa town, full of greenery, flowers and attractive parks.
The “New Old Town” has a lot of charm. Some old buildings have survived. Amongst them, clearly visible from the sea is the Basilica of St Mary (1255). It has a beautiful 1.6 km (one mile) long beach and a fine 15th century church which tall learning columns supporting the roof.

The marina has two parts now. For residents on the left side, around 70 spaces and for visitors on the right with approx. 200 spaces. There is a redoubt Morast in the middle. Two new jetties are constructed next to the fort. Petrol and diesel is available in marina , ask in office.
