YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.

Electricity:
Voltage: 230V
Frequency: 50 Hz
Availability: Shore power is commonly available at marinas on the east and south coasts and in major harbours, but in smaller west-coast harbours you may find limited or no electricity at pontoons without prior arrangement.
Adapters: If bringing tools or appliances from outside Europe, ensure you have proper plug adapters and shore power leads for Type F sockets.
Water:
Potable water is generally available at marinas on the east and south coasts. On the west coast and remote harbours, supply may be intermittent or require prior arrangement. Always check water availability before arrival, especially in quieter ports, and consider carrying extra jerry cans or large tanks.
Fuel:
Diesel is widely available at many marinas and yacht facilities on the east and south coast, often at fuel docks or by tanker delivery.
West coast fuel availability can be sporadic, with some smaller harbours not having direct marina pumps; fuel in cans (jerry cans) may be your only option.
LPG:
LPG bottles can be exchanged or refilled at many chandleries and hardware stores, although some regions use different bottles so check compatibility or bring adapters/spare connectors.
Camping gaz is also widely available in shops and at some filling stations.
Haulout and Repairs:
Travel lifts/slipways: Most larger ports and marinas have haul-out options (travel hoists/ramps) but capacities vary (check weight/beam limits).
Major yachting centres such as Cork Harbour/Crosshaven offer comprehensive services including engine, electronics, sailmakers, rigging and hull repair. In smaller harbours, repair services may be limited or require calling in specialist contractors.
Marine supplies:
Chandleries: Widely available in larger towns, especially in Cork, Dublin, Galway and other major marinas.
Navigation & Pilotage:
Ireland’s coastline is rugged with many bays, islands and tidal races. Tidal streams and strong currents occur in many channels. Carry current charts and pilotage guides such as the Irish Cruising Club Sailing Directions (South & West) and Irish Sea Pilots. These provide detailed plans, berth specifics, tide info, hazards, local notes and are highly recommended.
Anchorage & Harbours:
There are many anchorages and sheltered bays for cruising; some marinas provide visitor moorings, yacht clubs are welcoming and useful for local knowledge.
On the west coast, harbours and marinas are sparser. Plan passages carefully and carry sufficient fuel, water and provisions.
