Puerto Quetzal - Docking

Jun 01, 2017

Once into the harbour, enter the western basin and there is docking for yachts in a small basin on the northern side.

The marina, whilst secure, is open to swells from the SW and the surge here is reported to be very bad, with reports of burst fenders and broken dock lines. Choose where you tie up carefully, the best option being an inside pontoon with the wind blowing you away from the dock.

It is possible to pay for marina fees by credit card.

Some mechanical repairs may be possible here and plenty of fishing supplies.
