Woleai Atoll (Outer Islands) - Transport & Travel

Feb 01, 2013

Woleai is accessible from Yap by a PMA flight, however, there is no schedule because the runway has a low spot so PMA will not fly here if it has been rainy. They also will not fly here if they cannot fill the 9 seat plane or if they are running low on fuel.

Realistically this means that they will only fly to Woleai once or twice a year when special arrangements are made for a full flight.

PMA does, however, fly to Falalop, Ulithi, twice a week as long as there is fuel and the weather permits. Yap's PMA office can be contacted at: yap@pmapacific.org
