Puerto Montt - Docking

Apr 06, 2022

Anchoring:

This area offers good shelter and the holding, in mud, is good.

Moorings:

The best mooring and anchorages are in the narrow channel between the mainland and Isla Tenglo.

Marinas:

There are three marinas with floating pontoons and buoys.

Club Nautico de Reloncavi - commonly known as Club Nautico is the most popular marina with 30 tonne Travelift and an extensive hard stand. Marina Oxxean is focused more on long term berth holders and Marina del Sur, is the most expensive of the three but best suited to larger yachts.

Marina Costa de Huelmo is a new marina (2015), 40 kms (24 miles) south-west of Puerto Montt opposite the island of Huelmo. While it is very small, cruisers report that it's very reasonably priced and friendly (see Related User Comments ).
