We did anchor South East of the Islah Sal Rei. Even there the western swell was still important and we had strong North East wind. the holding is good with sand. We left our dinghy on the sand South East of the pear to visit the city.
One guy proposed to guard our dinghy. We learned later that if you give 100 escudos or 1€ for all the day to a kid/teenager that guarded your dinghy it mostly not be sufficient. From our experience we count 200 Escudos or 2€ for half a day. Makes things clear on both sides and no frustration at the end.
In the city we found several Chinese supermarket and a public market for Fruits and Veggies. Cheaper that Sal island but still more than 2.5€ the kilo.
We enjoyed a lunch at the Blue Marlin restaurant.
Maritime police is located almost at the exit of the city (new big blue building at the end of the main street of the right). This is the only place where the officer asked all passports and all persons to be present. We did the check in and check out at the same time as we planned to leave the next days.
