A small purple mini-bus passes by the yacht club every half hour during the day and this goes to the Muara shopping precinct.

Alternatively, walk to the main road to catch one to Muara.

Another option is to take the dinghy to a small boat ramp located between the container terminal/tugboat wharf and the Police wharf/fuel tank farm, and then walk the kilometre or so to the shopping area.

At Muara, you can get a connection to Bandar Seri Begawan which is approximately 50 minutes ride away.

Passenger ferry services to Labuan depart from the Serasa Ferry Terminal.  The journey from Serasa to Labuan takes between 45 minutes to an hour.  For Ferry information, Tel:  + 673 2 773071

    Lynda Lim says:

Serasa to Muara Besar bridge at 5 0.303N 115 4.329E (WGS84). The low level access bridge for the construction project built out from either side, has been removed. The main bridge is complete and the two central spans assigned for navigation are marked and observable day and night. Be careful of tugs towing large barges that have very limited manoeuvrability when approaching or departing this narrow navigation channel. This Serasa/Muara Besar bridge is declared to have 28m clearance at high water. Taller yachts will still be able to reach our Mangrove Paradise Resort anchorage, and the two RBYC premises (Serasa and Dato Gandi) by taking the older channel around Pelumpang Spit and south of Pulau Muara Besar. The channel here is in the process of dredging and marking with new lateral marks. It’s best to approach this area in daylight.
