There is a Hong Kong Bank branch at Muara with an ATM and this is less crowded than the branch in Bandar Seri Bagawan.

If you have no Brunei Dollars, there is a money changer, at usurers rates, just outside the ferry port entrance to the extreme right of the ticket offices. Ringgit is changed willingly here. Note, the Brunei Dollar is linked to the Singapore Dollar and Singapore notes are frequently found in your change.
