Provisioning is good, as Brunei has a high standard of living and imported goods are widely available. The best shopping is in the capital Bandar Seri Bagawan, wherein the area bounded by Jln Sultan, Jln Pretty, Jln Pemancha and Jln MacArthur, one can find lots of shops. A good open-air market is held each day along the Kianggeh river, in front of a Chinese temple.
There is an excellent supermarket in the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah complex on the bottom floor, which has a good range of imported goods. There are other supermarkets and some stock imported foods but it helps to have a car to get to them.
