Paraty - Docking

May 31, 2019

There are several marinas here and numerous sheltered places to anchor in the bay and in the vicinity of the town.

Anchorages:

If you are intending to visit the town you can anchor near the jetty. Getting ashore here with your dinghy, however, can be complicated because of the tides.

Alternatively anchor in good holding in mud, in front of Marina 188 in about 4 to 5m. This is a very sheltered anchorage and from here you can take an Uber into the center of Paraty. It's possible to leave your dinghy at the marina. Marina services, including showers, are only available to moored boats.

There are also many beautiful, quiet and well-protected anchorages in the islands around Paraty.

All the normal services provided in a tourist destination are to be found here.
