International Clearance:
Is is possible to clear in yourself here, or use the marina's clearance service for 60 Euros.
Marina Jacaré Village owner Nicolas will drive you to Immigration and Customs and deal with the Port Authority on your behalf. Nicolas will also complete all the necessary forms and translate when communicating with officials (there is hardly any English spoken in Brazil).
A visit to see Health officials may be required post Covid-19.
Alternatively, do clearance independently and visit the different authorities by Uber taxi.
Clearance should be completed within two working days of arrival. The order in which you visit the various officials is important, otherwise, you might have a wasted journey. If one is not available, or your visits take more than one morning (which is very likely!), just return the next day. Remember most offices close between 11.30 am and 2 pm and clearance is only done in the mornings.
Only the Immigration authorities require all crew to be present. Clearance with Customs and the Port Captain can be done by the skipper alone.
