Where is Nha Trang?

Nha Trang is port city located at the mouth of the Cai River on the south east coast of Vietnam, about 250 km north of Ho Chi Minh City.  It ius the capital of the Khánh Hòa Province and a popular tourist destination.

Entrance Notes and Cautions for Nha Trang:

Nha Trang should be approached with caution as it is encumbered by shallows. A channel leads into the port and visiting boats are normally asked to anchor nearly 1.6 km (one mile) offshore. Water taxis operate in the harbour, for ease of getting ashore. If leaving the boat to travel inland, it is recommended a watchman is employed.

There is a reef off the entrance to Ana Marina, so vessels should approach from the south-east.

The main port is very busy with small fishing boats used for tourism and the bays are busy with boat traffic of all kinds.

Cruiser Highlights for Nha Trang.

The town’s main beach, Tran Phu, is a seven-kilometre stretch of white sand and clear water, with many bars and seafood restaurants.

Ana Marina provides access to the cruising grounds in Nha Trang Bay and lies between yachting destinations such as Hong Kong, Singapore and the Philippines. The local climate features a nine-month dry season and minimal typhoon activity, making the area ideal for year-round cruising.
