Red Hook: Vessup/ Muller Bay - Docking

Feb 19, 2020

Anchoring:

If you plan to anchor in a designated anchorage for 14 days or more in a six month period you'll need an anchoring permit from the DPNR office. Alternatively moving to a new bay or harbor restarts the 14 days count. See US VI Formalities/restrictions section.

Muller Bay is mostly sand areas of rock and coral. There are no moorings for rent in this area and the area in the inner harbour (Vessup Bay) is off limits for anchoring. Swell comes in from the east and the bay can be rolly, the best spots for anchoring are reported to be as close as possible to the southern shore.

Dinghy Dock:

A dinghy dock is located in the marina on the lee side of E dock at the far end.

Marinas

American Yacht Harbor offers 123 slips and accommodates vessels up to 120 feet with a max 10-foot draft. There are a variety of restaurants on site and a grocery store nearby.
