In Chalong Bay, water can be obtained at a stand-alone facility at 07.48.36N and 98.20.80S. The structure is easy to tie to in any wind direction, just throw the attendant your rope and hang off the structure with the wind. No need for fenders. They have a long hose and water is very cheap - around 100 Baht (3.20US$) for 300-400 liters. They give a receipt and the attendant is handy with the ropes.
This is a much easier location to get water than the Chalong Pier which is quite often busy with large dive boats who spend hours there.
Another good alternative for diesel and water are the fuel and water barges in Chalong Bay. There are usually two in operation. You just need to ask around for where they are. Normally they are anchored north of the main pier amongst other anchored boats.
Untreated tap water is not recommended for drinking.
Water is also available at Boat Lagoon, Yacht Haven and Suda's.
Water can also be sourced at many of the outlying islands, in particular, Phi Phi Don and Racha.
