Krabi - Docking

Marinas:

Krabi Marina

Krabi Marina (used to be Krabi River Marina), located in Krabi town, has re-opened under new management.   All of the water taps now function,  all of the electric pylons now work and all of the previous frequent reverse polarity problems have been eliminated.

Lights on the pontoons come on at dusk and stay of for the hours of darkness.  The shower and toilet block has been completely refurbished to an adequate standard. A security guard is on duty when the office is empty at night.

This marina is a pleasant walk from Krabi town and just 30 minutes away from Krabi International Airport.

Krabi Boat Lagoon

Krabi Boat Lagoon is now fully open and provides a friendly, well-serviced alternative, albeit in a more remote situation than the other docking facilities here. This marina also has a boatyard with hard standing and good electrical repair. Call ahead if you need guidance through the approach channel (channel and marina dredged to a MLWS of 2 metres by end January 2023).

Port Takola Marina

Port Takola is a marina and boatyard development just 10 minutes from Ao Nang and across the river from Krabi Town. The marina entrance channel is 350m long and accessible at high tide,  dredged to 2.5 meters below LAT. This channel is connected to a 4-5m deep public channel continuing to sea. A new office block complete with showers, loos and a nice swimming pool is under construction - due for completion towards the end of 2025.

Moorings:

At Koh Hong and surrounding islands and in East Phang Nga Bay, the National Parks have installed mooring buoys with the rope ends attached to small blue buoys.
