Mooring and Anchoring around Koh Lipe

Pattaya Beach

The southern anchorage where the ferry terminal is situated is a good anchorage during the NE season.  Anchor in no less than 10 meters on the sandy bottom, not on the coral.

Sunset Beach

Anchor in 15 - 28 metres on sand off Sunset Beach and then walk to the other side of the island where the ferry landing and immigration are located.  Watch out for coral heads.

Sunrise Beach

The northeast anchorage off Sunrise Beach is a good spot to anchor during the SW monsoon season.

Koh Adang

The National Park Service has provided four mooring balls on the west side of nearby Koh Adang.  This is a nice protected spot from any NE monsoon winds.  However, it can get rolly during the change of tides or when there is a wind-against-tide situation.
