The peninsula that forms the southern Msasani Bay (the Msasani peninsula) is the area of the city that has all the consulates, embassies, NGO headquarters, etc. Consequently, this is where all the western-style supermarkets are situated, with prices much higher than at home.
Many of the restaurants and at least one supermarket are within walking distance from the Slipway complex.
