ALERT: Super Typhoon Gaemi made landfall near the city of Hualien late July 2024 and officials say it could be the most powerful storm to hit the island in eight years.
Description:
Hualien is the largest city on the east coast. Taroko Gorge in Toroko National Park, is the principal attraction of this area. It is a good place in which to hike, or it can be seen by car. A taxi will have need to be used as there is no public transport to the gorge.
