There is a good open market on the waterfront, open every day except Sunday. The best and busiest days are Monday and Friday. You can anchor off the market, or further in off the fuel berth.
There are numerous Chinese stores on the main street. There is a new store called Isa's Delite Bulk Shop. It is modern in the sense that you can roam the store and fill your basket, as opposed to the typical style where everything is under or behind the counter and you must ask for what you want.
