Gizo has Customs, Agriculture and Health and Immigration officers (supposedly) working seven days a week. It is advisable to email them in advance of your arrival.
Customs will not check you out unless Immigration has also done so.
Officials are reported to be friendly, however, some yachts have reported in 2024 being charged extra high fees by Immigration here and the Immigration officer is known to be corrupt.
If you haven't paid the SI entry fee (due to not having any Solomon Islands currency particularly if checking in at Lata), you will probably have to pay it along with the exit fee.
