Samoa Yachting Essentials

Electricity:
Voltage: 230 V
Frequency: 50 Hz

Water:
Water is available from the harbormaster in Apia for a small fee.

Fuel:
Fuel is available in Apia and Salelologa Harbour.

Duty-free fuel can be arranged for quantities over 1000 litres for approx. a 40% discount. This requires a letter to customs stating your requirements and another letter to the harbormaster at the Samoa Port Authority if you wish to bunker your fuel at the Main Wharf in Apia. See the Apia fuel section for more details.

Gas (Propane):
It is hard to get European gas bottles filled here.  The one person who can do it is Tala at Hibiscus Gas. His number is 720 9441.

Getting Work Done:
There are no haul-out facilities for yachts in Samoa and finding marine services is not easy. Adjacent to Apia Marina is the Game Fishing Club where expats can be found who can help with vessel problems.

Provisions:
There is a good range of provisions in Apia and a more limited supply in Salelologa Harbour.
