Auckland is known as the “City of Sails” for good reason and this means there are a wide range of services and facilities in and around the city’s harbors and waterfront areas.
There are two large boatyards in the downtown Auckland waterfront area which provide haul out and maintenance facilities - Pier 21 Marine Centre and Orams Marine.
Boatyards with haulout facilities can also be found north of Auckland at Whangaparoa and south of Auckland at Thames.
