Description:

This northernmost island of the Maldives (also known as Uligan) has become a popular stopover for yachts en route from Sri Lanka to the Red Sea. A new marina is under development (2025).

Entrance Notes and Cautions:

Don’t go close to the coral reef which is shown on the Navionics Charts. Well protected in Easterly winds but can get rolly when the winds are from the North.

Cruiser Highlights:

A very nice, quiet village with no cars, no asphalt roads and very friendly people.
