The climate in the south of the country is hot and humid with a high rainfall. The north is drier, November to April being the dry season and May to October the rainy season. October to May is the most pleasant time. The winds are light throughout the year, the prevailing winds being SSW Force 2 to 3. The weather has been described as perfect for all year round sailing.
