Boatyards in Honduras include the Navy Base in Puerto Cortez (below), La Ceiba Shipyard and Roatan Shipyard near Fantasy Island Marina. A yard for hauling catamarans opened in French Cay Harbour Spring 2011.
There is a haul out facility in the navy yard with a 150-ton travel lift. Prices for hauling have gone up (although it's the lowest priced yard on Roatan), but it's still a convenient place to do underwater repairs, painting or other repairs. Bottom paint is available in town. Local workers reported being good for $10-$15.00 per day. Travel lift big enough for catamarans, also a crane if you want to unstep your mast for any reason.
