Ucluelet - Fees

Dec 05, 2022

Description:

Ucluelet is a large-ish town on the west coast of Vancouver Island, about 25 nautical miles south of Tofino. There are numerous cafes and funky restaurants, easy grocery provisioning and an aquarium. It is less hectic than Tofino, more laid-back, with a youthful culture.

Entrance Notes and Cautions:

While the entrance is straight forward, experienced cruisers recommend timing your entry into Browning Passage since the current can run four knots.

Cruiser Highlights:

Ukee, as it is locally known, is the perfect place to take advantage of all that the wild west coast of Vancouver Island has to offer.  Visit the aquarium, craft beer brewery as well as the many small shops.  Lots of walking and cycle trails including the Ucluelet to Tofino bike trail.

Position:

48°56′29.88″N   125°32′23.98″W  (off the town)
