For yachts clearing-in or out of English Harbor, the current operating hours for Customs and Immigration is 08:00 to 15:45.

Clearing into English Harbour:

Yachts should anchor in the bay (Freeman’s Harbour) or go to a marina and hoist the Q flag.

The Customs, Immigration and Port Authority offices are located right in the middle of Nelson’s Dockyard at the old Officers’ Quarters building – a large rectangle building with a big white sign above the door). If closed, go to the ‘Nelson’s Dockyard Marina Office’ who may be helpful in finding out if and when officials may return.

If you can’t submit notification using your own computer in advance, you can do it here on arrival. There are three workstations and helpful staff (who belong to the company who wrote the software). Print out the paperwork as directed.

National Parks Fees related to anchoring in English and Falmouth Harbors must also be paid at the Dockyard port authority office in English Harbor, in the same building as customs and immigration, when clearing in.

See the main Antigua Formalities page for full details and specific park fees payable in English and Falmouth Harbors.

Clearing out of English Harbour:

Prior to departure, complete the exit clearance form online. Pay any outstanding harbour dues and then collect the port clearance certificate.

Staff are reported to be very helpful and friendly.

Almost every couple we met went together. No one cared that one of the couple “shouldn’t have been there”.

We filled out everything in Seaclear before arriving. We just gave the helpful officer our clearance from Guadeloupe and he used that to find us in the system and print what we needed. Everything took 15 minutes. Easy.

We had some work done by Cap Green and Slipway. In our opinion he is about the best electrical troubleshooter we have met! As an aside the Nelsons Dockyard marina currently does not have WiFi or showers. You can pay for a cold shower if you like but thought people might like to know

The custom and immigration office is open Monday to Sunday 8 am to 4:45 pm.

I suggest to arrive with the eSeaClear form completed already, otherwise, there are computers available in the office.

I completed the entire process, custom, immigration and port authority for the cruising permit in less than 30 minutes.
    Officers were friendly.
